As the price of a security drops, demand for the shares increases, thus forming the support line. Meanwhile, Resistance zones arise due to a sell-off when prices increase. Once an area or "zone" of Support or Resistance has been identified, it provides valuable potential trade entry or exit points. This is because, as a price reaches a point of support or resistance, it will do one of two things – bounce back away from the support or resistance level, or violate the price level and continue in its direction – until it hits the next support or resistance level. A Double Top is a chart pattern, characterized by two consecutive peaks in price, that signals a potential bearish reversal of an uptrend. A Double Bottom pattern is a technical analysis charting pattern that describes a change in trend and a momentum reversal from prior leading price action. It describes the drop of a stock or index, a rebound, another drop to the same or similar level as the original drop, and finally another rebound. The double bottom looks like the letter "W". The twice-touched low is considered a support level. | | | | Mailbox | | | | “I wanted to say that I truly appreciate and value your market knowledge.
