Definitions

Open interest is the total number of open or outstanding options and/or futures contracts that exist at a given time. Open interest is commonly associated with the futures and options markets, where the number of existing contracts changes from day to day.

A Vertical Spread options strategy involves the purchase of the same type of put or call option on the same underlying asset, with the same expiration date but with different strike prices. The term "vertical" comes from the position of the strike prices. In contrasts to a calendar spread, which is the simultaneous purchase and sale of the same option type with the same strike but different expiration dates.

The Strike Price is the price at which a derivative can be exercised, and refers to the price of the derivative’s underlying asset.  In a call option, the strike price is the price at which the option holder can purchase the underlying security.  For a put option, the strike price is the price at which the option holder can sell the underlying security.
