Are We Going Through Stagflation... Again?

Hey Trader,

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Less than stellar jobs reports, price hikes for goods like lumber, and most recently, a gas shortage causing pain at the pump.

Add to that a volatile market, and things aren't looking exactly rosy for the U.S. lately.

Things have gotten so discouraging that the word stagflation is starting to be thrown around.

That word may be new to you, but not to many older Americans.

Stagflation goes back to the 1970s, when the U.S. experienced an eerily similar set of circumstances for a number of different reasons.
