Today I broke a rule, and I got away with it.

Want to hear about it?

Read on.

TRADE OF THE DAY: BTBT

I don't like to buy stocks that are in the middle of a downtrend.

I mean, if I could find out (somehow) that the downtrend was over, then I'd love to buy the stock.

Well, that's kinda what happened today.

Look at this chart of BTBT:

It's a beautiful morning breakout.

It's what I look for.

Tons of volume (over 10,000,000 shares traded), and a float that suggested that we'd keep running today.

And then it broke a Bank Line.

So I bought 3,000 shares.

Then I checked the daily chart.

I usually do that BEFORE I take the trade.

Here's what it looks like:

YIKES!

A massive downtrend.

So I kept my stop tight - under $5 - and held on.

When the stock popped up to $5.75, I closed it out.

Accounting for some slippage, I walked away with a (lucky) $882.

There's the trade, plus another one I'm still holding right now - I am hoping SGRP is a $3,000+ winner for me today.

By the way, I put together some free training on how I trade (and why I teach).

Check out the training here while it's still available.

I love the heck outta you,

Rob
