During the first quarter of fundraising, the former president's three political groups raised a little over $19 million. The newest fundraising data show Donald Trump remains the most popular and powerful politician in the Republican Party. Trump's committees' average gift for the first quarter was $28.04, further proof of his grassroots fundraising strength. Trump collected $51 million in the second half of last year and started this year with $122 million in cash on hand.
