Ford's New $11B Electric Plans Ups the Ante on Lithium Demand

In Sept. 2021, Ford announced a whopping $11.4 billion deal for "mega-sites" to produce electric trucks and batteries. By 2032, 50% of all vehicle sales worldwide will be powered by lithium batteries, according to energy consultancy DNV GL.
