Weekly Watchlist: stocks turn up, will they hold?

Post a Comment

Good morning,

I'm looking for stocks to rebound in September and run into Q4 2022. Of particular interest to me right now is the weekly futures of the Nasdaq so /NQ in which we're working off the -1 ATR and higher low from back in May and June.

If these levels hold, I think risk assets like small caps /RTY, bitcoin /BTC and tech /NQ will head higher again.

Ultimately I think this pattern resolves to the topside, however, if we cannot hold -1 ATR, it would make sense that we test the 2022 lows, so let's be on watch at this level.

GRPN, FUBO, APRN, PRPL, SFIX, GPRO, and PTON are the names I'm watching at there current levels. These stocks were very hot a month ago but then cooled off with the overall market pullback. I am watching these retracements close for continuation patterns. These would be 1-2 week swing trades unless they delivered a quick 10-20%. Another thing I like about these names is they are optionable so if they do start to move, buying a debit spread could deliver better than the stock.

ISEE is moving really nicely this morning on momentum and if it holds $12, I think a run through high of day which is $14.28 premarket, makes sense.
