What I Do in a Recession…

Post a Comment

Dear Loyal Reader,

If you had a crystal ball (that actually worked)…

And told me that there'd be a recession next year…

I'd still be buying and selling the same stocks I am today.

Because in my 40-year career, I don't know a single investor who's been successful in investing based on macro events. Not a one.

In fact, I challenge you to find me an economist who's made the Forbes 400 list of the richest people in the world.

I can show you dozens on that list who made their fortunes by doing this one simple thing…

They bought meaningful positions in a few great businesses — and then sat on their butts.

I recently did an interview where I talked about these stocks.

Because it doesn't matter how high interest rates or inflation are going or what the rainfall in Brazil will be.

In fact, Warren Buffett called them "securities with a timetable."

And these events will unfold and reward investors over the long term — regardless of whether we're in a bull or bear market.
