Lightning List: 3 hot small-caps

Post a Comment

Morning,

GMVD - News winner this morning and up over 100%. Float is tiny at 1.21M. Range is to $10 if this continues. Dilution potential is high because the company has -5.7 months of cash left based on quarterly cash burn of -$8.21M and estimated current cash of $-15.5M. So no overnight hold on this one, just look for the breakout today. And if the price action during market hours looks and feels heavy, get out of the way.

GNS - The company continues to aggressively mount an attack against naked short sellers and is doing it better than any other company I've seen make this argument in the past. Above $5, this has now trapped most new shorts and therefore, could go supernova this week. I don't want to bet too optimistic here but $10 isn't out of the question.

APE - A clean breakout above $2 now opens the window to $3. Volume started Friday night in the afterhours and has continued into Monday morning. I'll watch for some gap recovery above $2, a base trade at that level and middle $2's for an exit. While the range is there, I question if this can get to $3, so 20% would be the goal on this trade.
