Disc Golf, Investing and Your 2023 Goals

Turn Your Images On

Chad Stone,
Managing Editor

Dear Loyal Reader,

We’re three weeks into 2023, and this is about the time when all those New Year’s resolutions solidify into achievable milestones for the year … or fall by the wayside to be reconsidered on December 31.

My No. 1 goal for this year is to become a 900-rated disc golfer. Yes, competitive disc golf is a thing. (If you want to see one of the most compelling sports moments of the last five years, check out James Conrad’s “Holy Shot.”)

At my current rating of 871 … I’m a long way off.

My form is inefficient, my putt is inconsistent outside of 15 feet and my drives are accurate, but much shorter when compared to my competition in the amateur division.

Achieving this goal is going to be a massive challenge.

But I found a little secret: experts.

As your resident Money & Markets millennial, I went to my favorite resource (YouTube) and found top professional disc golfers who break down their form and provide valuable information on all aspects of the sport.

I’m now slowly applying some of these tips to my game. I’m simplifying my stroke and seeing results.

And I know I wouldn’t be as excited as I am to hit the course this weekend if it wasn’t for those professionals showing me what’s possible — and how to achieve it.

We face the same challenges as investors.

There is so much to learn — and even knowing where to start feels like a roadblock.

But that’s why we turn to experts like Adam O’Dell, Matt Clark and Mike Carr.

They have the tools to help us make sense of it all.

With the market in flux like it has been to start 2023, tools like Stock Power Ratings and insights from experts like Adam, Matt and Mike will help you find opportunities you likely have never considered.

That’s what they are here to do!

Let us help you make 2023 a year to remember as an investor. Keep checking in with Stock Power Daily to see how.

P.S. If you’re curious, I am currently rated 871 after a rough competitive year in 2022. For all the golfers out there, I need to shave about three strokes off my handicap to achieve a 900 rating. I’ll give an update after my first big tournament next month. And if you have any tips for me, send an email to StockPower@MoneyandMarkets.com. Cheers!
