What is going to happen next?
I moved to Dubai and all of a sudden, people think I'm living the Dubai Bling lifestyle! They go online and watch episodes of the Dubai Bling TV show and think that is my lifestyle! LOL! The reality of my trader's life is only partially Dubai Bling. Here is how my life is not like the TV show: - I don't have a screaming spouse.
- I don't go to parties every night. In fact, I never go to parties or clubs. Part of being a pro trader is going to bed early and getting up early. Even on weekends, I'm asleep by 10 pm. So no clubs for Courtney.
- No Lambo. I'm not even sure I could stoop low enough to get into one! But Lambos are a waste of money! I'd rather trade the $250,000 it costs to buy one. And get richer and richer and richer.
But there are aspects of my life that are a bit Dubai Bling: - I eat in restaurants just about every day. And Dubai has a lot of great restaurants. This is a great place for restaurants. Dubai is the most cosmopolitan city in the world so the variety of food is incredible.
- I live in hotels. The two I like to stay in the most are the Hyatt Regency Dubai and the Sheraton Dubai Creek. Both are super nice with views over the water. So I never cook or clean. Somebody else does that for me. What a time saver!
So I really like it in Dubai but I also like to see other cultures and places. The world is infinitely interesting. So I'll go back to SE Asia in a month. I think I will visit two new countries when I go back: Cambodia and Laos. I want to see Angkor Wat! | |
