The New Midpoint of May
The midpoint for May in the ES had been 4134.25. That was before the new high at 4227.25. The low for the month is so far, unchanged at 4062.75. To find the new midpoint of the month, add the high and low together, then divide by 2. It's a simple concept.
The midpoint for May 2023 is 4144.75.
The FOMC number is 4150.00.
The open of the Quarter is 4127.00.
The open of the Month is 4190.00.
These are the numbers that should define this market.

FOMC Minutes at 2pm ET
The release of the FOMC minutes is not likely to provide any further understanding of the intentions of the FOMC board. It will be a time to be aware. In the recent past the FOMC minutes have been an occasion to reaffirm the views of the FOMC. Those views often getting lost in media drama. At the release of the FOMC statement some weeks ago, the ES Futures were trading at 4150.00.
