Published By Banyan Hill Publishing | | | | Published By Banyan Hill Publishing | | | | This Microchip-Maker Could Be Worth $1 Trillion By Charles Sizemore Chief Editor, The Banyan Edge | Banyan Nation, In case you missed it, microchip-maker Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA) absolutely killed it in its quarterly earnings release this past Thursday, with reviews up 19%. But the best news was about the coming quarter. Nvidia reported that revenues were likely to come in around $11 billion in the second quarter. Analysts were expecting around $7.2 billion. The shares rocketed higher on the news and closed Thursday, up about 22% this week. Analyst estimates are often wrong. They are estimates, after all. But they’re not usually off by more than half, and particularly not for a company as large and as closely followed as Nvidia. This is the fifth-largest company in the S&P 500 — coming in just after the “Big Four” of Apple, Microsoft Alphabet (Google) and Amazon. So, what is fueling Nvidia’s growth? And how is it that Wall Street so wildly underestimated it? CEO Jensen Huang spelled it out in the press release: The computer industry is going through two simultaneous transitions — accelerated computing and generative [artificial intelligence, or] AI. A trillion dollars of installed global data center infrastructure will transition from general purpose to accelerated computing as companies race to apply generative AI into every product, service and business process. Nvidia makes graphics processing chips. Traditionally, these are the chips loved by video game enthusiasts. But Nvidia’s chips are also uniquely well-suited to handle the demands of data centers — and specifically artificial intelligence software. In case you’ve been living in a bunker for the past year, AI has emerged as the single biggest investment opportunity since the early days of the internet. It may ultimately be bigger than the internet. And it’s arguably the biggest leap forward since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution or even the Gutenberg printing press. As Huang explains, companies are looking to integrate AI into everything. I’m not suggesting you run out and buy Nvidia stock today. Personally, I’d prefer to wait for a pullback. But Nvidia’s blowout quarter is evidence of this larger trend at play, and this is precisely my friend Ian King’s area of expertise. His latest report on microchips details a unique opportunity in this sector, with companies like Nvidia paving the way for the continued development of AI software. With that said, let’s see what the team is up to. | | | A small device can completely change the electric vehicle market — leading to mass adoption... It’s been a rough year for paper assets like stocks and bonds. And with the Federal Reserve continuing to drain liquidity out of the system, we might be feeling headwinds for years to come. The internet changed everything. Web 1.0 in the mid-1990s brought us web browsers like Netscape on those giant brick-like computers. Web 2.0 in the 2000s gave us blogging, Twitter and YouTube. Now we’re entering a new era: Web 3.0, a more “decentralized” version of the internet that won’t be controlled by Big Tech companies like Facebook and Google. Instead, Web 3.0 will be backed by blockchain technology, the building blocks of cryptocurrency. - Few People Know How to Make Money Like This…

Amid all the bank failings this year, some smart short sellers were able to see the risks beforehand … and turn it into a windfall profit. While shorting stocks is incredibly risky for individual investors who don’t have the bankrolls of multibillion-dollar hedge funds, Adam O’Dell is recommending an “off Wall Street” trade. It will give you the same leverage as short sellers did during this banking crisis. Happy Memorial Day! The market is closed on Monday for Memorial Day.
