AAPL and The Holiday Effect
Markets are closed today in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. This includes trading of AAPL stock, one of the most widely held and traded stocks. This market closure introduces an interesting phenomenon in stock market behavior known as the "holiday effect."
This is an effect where stock returns tend to be higher on the day before a market holiday. The reasoning behind this effect varies, with some attributing it to overall positive sentiment and lower trading volumes.
However, its impact on individual stocks like AAPL can be harder to quantify due to company-specific factors and broader market trends.
A well-established and highly liquid stock like AAPL will usually see less volatility than the overall market due to its robust investor base. But that doesn't mean it's immune to the "holiday effect."
Still, it's important to remember that many other company-specific factors can influence AAPL's stock price during this time
No matter which way AAPL goes at tomorrow’s open, one thing is undeniable:
AAPL has been on a fantastic run this year, returning nearly 50% since the year open!
This has given me and my followers plenty of opportunity to ride the stock higher with a strategy that I consider “perfect” for trading Apple stock.
