What Summer Doldrums? By definition, the summer doldrums are the sluggish period that the market goes through every summer - it is a period that has to do with the vacay time. But here is the thing..... throughout 2023 the volume has been low in general in equities, futures, and market indices in general, however, that has not prevented the market and investors to bank on the massive run-up the market has had since it put a bottom in Oct 2022. 2023 has been a great year for traders and investors so far. The market and many stocks are still power trending in major time frames and it looks like all the dips are still being bought. The question is can it hang on to its gains in the next 4 months? Pullbacks are a celebration for investors and traders alike. It is healthy for the market to retrace once in a while. And this year we are in sync with the overall seasonality.
