Moved to Fremont, CA, in the early '80s, barely $80K residents, bought my house for just over $100K. Silicon Valley in the '90s picked up, NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated) started building Toyota Corollas and Tacomas (some of the most reliable cars and trucks on the road today), dot-com boom and bust of the 2000s, Silicon Valley staying power of the 2010s and Tesla moved into the old NUMMI plant. Fremont now has about a quarter-million residents, my house is worth millions, I now live comfortably in the most expensive region in the country, yet Fremont is the happiest city in America (Google it) and I provided a pathway to success for my family.
Whatever you present next week [tomorrow], I'm sure will be taken at face value — but those who know, or lived through a Fremont, CA ... KNOW.
