Hey Gang! |
I read on StockTwits yesterday that the S&P 500 closed for the 100th straight session without a drop of at least 1.5%. |
Low volatility seems to be a prominent theme for 2023. |
But it's also the year of market chop 🥢. |
|
Both environments make for exciting - and difficult - trading. |
The trouble with the markets right now is that investors have been climbing a wall of worry 🧱 nonstop since the ball dropped at midnight on January 1🪩. |
Interest rates are high. Will the Fed hold steady? Will it raise rates further? We'll find out Wednesday is the latest installment of "The Fed of Our Lives." |
And does this present any trading opportunities? |
Housing data is troubling. Increasingly, Americans can't afford to buy a home. Rent is getting more expensive as well. Something's got to give. |
Is anything trade-worthy here? |
Employment… or unemployment to be more precise. That's a tale of two cities for sure! The official Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers seem to show an improving trend, but the experience of the common man, out on the street tells a completely different story. |
News of massive layoffs in the IT sector or banking sector… or any other sector for that matter… continually take up space in the rags 🗞️. |
Tradable? |
Energy is skyrocketing again, thanks to the OPEC+ community that's curtailing production so they can earn more dollars per barrel of oil. The end user is getting fleeced because not only does it cost us more to fill our tanks, but we're also paying more for services and goods because those cost more to reach the stores! |
Instacart IPO, anyone? |
Geopolitical tensions are high. Ukraine and Russia. China and Taiwan. Speaking of, Taiwan asked Beijing to stop its military harassment after 103 Chinese warplanes 🛩️ flew close to the island between Sunday and Monday. |
Political tensions are high. Government shutdowns are a frequent feature, multiple times a year. President Biden agreed to unlock $6 billion in Tehran's frozen funds in exchange for the safe release and return of five imprisoned Americans. |
The UAW and Writers Guild strikes highlight a working class tired of being treated like dogs 🐕🦺. (And I like the dogs, by the way. I actively seek them out because they often hide the best trading opportunities out there!) |
Frankly, everything I just listed now doesn't describe a "wall of worry," does it? It's more like a "mountain 🏔️of madness." |
Yet, volatility is low. |
Chop is high. |
That's fine by me because all of it coalesces to create a supercell that spins off trading opportunities left, right, and center. |
And because I don't spend my days dazzled by the shiny darlings of Wall Street, I can see those unexpected opportunities clearly. |
I target them. I trade them. Often for fabulous profits. Sometimes for controlled losses because trading is hard and sometimes it goes against you. That's OK. |
More than that, when I see a trade opportunity forming on my radar, I dig into the trends, the sector, the charts, the technicals. I consider what profits are possible… and what losses. I calculate and contemplate. |
Then I shoot an email, text, and app notification off to my Bullseye Trades members with the exact details of the trade I'm making, targets, stops losses, the whole shebang. They can follow along, or they can just watch and learn. That's up to them. |
Here's an example what I sent members when I identified LLY as a Bullseye Trade of the week: |
|
This trade was an absolute beaut! Talk about a rocket 🚀!! |
 | *trading is hard, results not guaranteed |
|
Unfortunately, I can't claim to have grabbed all of those gains. I chickened out and sold once I hit 70%. But some of my Bullseye Trade subscribers stuck it out and made a killing!! |
Here is an excerpt from an email from how one of my members traded this: |
"I put the trade on with 1 contract in one of my IRA accounts, held onto it cause it kept staying above my stop loss, didn't look at it all month cause the chart looked good. Option is about to expire this week, going to sell it but this is the screenshot of the trade as of yesterday's close" (screenshot dated 4:44pm EST, Sept 11). |

|
But let me be very clear here. Trading is hard and not all trades work out as well as this one did. And I cannot vouch for my members' performances in general. |
However, when planning my Bullseye Pick of the Week, I not only strive to find the winners, but I also work damn hard to limit any losses we may encounter. And let's be real, there will always be trades that turn against us. That's the nature of this beast. |
Yesterday I shared details with them about this week's trade. It's in a best-in-class stock that can outperform when markets rise and can hold their ground when markets falter. If you want the details, join me. |
As troubling as the world and our economy are right now, these are the times when being a trader is an absolute thrill. |
And right now it's just $47 for 3 FULL MONTHS of my Monday trading plans (not only WHAT I'm trading but HOW and WHY), 11am EST live education sessions, and access to my incredible Bullseye Community 🎯that shares emails like that one from above! |
There are many more LLY-like trades to explore. Do you really want to miss opportunities like that?! |
Hope to see you on the Inside soon! |
|
P.S. Or you could just call up Jeff Brown @ 800-585-4488 right now and tell him you want in on the Bullseye Trades fun! |
