Members get additional short-term swing trade ideas & alerts throughout the week 📈. My goal is to deliver up to 10 of these over the month…like this premarket email I sent out when I identified an opportunity in Walmart: | | As you probably recall, Walmart had weaker than expected earnings recently which kind of surprised me to be honest. I was expecting better things from WMT which is why I am stalking a trade today on it as I feel WMT is too good a company to be trading down at these levels. | Also, there is a great chart lesson to share with you below. Notice the 3 candlesticks I highlighted in the red box. Notice how each candle (from left to right) get smaller over the last 3 days. The biggest drop was the 1st on the left after earnings, it also had the biggest volume day as traders exited the stock. Yesterday was more of a "t" candle or a "doji" candle which is a candle of indecision. Also note the volume yesterday which is the dotted black line, the volume is getting smaller over the last 3 days. To me, that means the selloff could be coming to an end and with the body of the candle also being smaller, the volatility to the downside is slowing. | | What I'll be watching for today. If WMT starts to uptick on the daily chart, say break above $156 / $157 area then I will be watching for WMT to rebound back into the $160s. | My trade: I'm gonna buy myself a little time here with Thanksgiving coming in 2 days and I'll go the December 8th $155 calls around $2 to $2.40 area with a sell target of $3+ and a stop if WMT trades below $153, which is the 200 SMA on the daily chart. |

| | So, how did this trade work out? | The following day WMT made a big spike up right off that doji candle discussed in the email. This was a perfect short term swing. Matter of fact, maybe quicker than some. I like to look for options about weeks out of time with a target sell of 3-5 days over entry day. | | I ended up taking about a 31% winner on a short term swing and a cool $230 dollars profit. Not bad for an overnight small position options trade, right? | | KEY Takeaway: Look for those "doji" candles after a downtrend to potentially flash a "reversal" signal on the daily chart. Then check for confirmation the following morning. | Do you like options swing ideas?
