Hope you all were able to make it out to our Roundtable session yesterday!

I thought it was fascinating to see how our experts approached such a volatile and divisive stock as Tesla.

And I have to say, it was one of the most heated (in a good way!) chats we’ve ever had!

The entire reason we called this roundtable ahead of TSLA earnings is because it’s such a volatile, hotly-debated stock, and it seems like we made a good call.

Ultimately, TSLA bounced after earnings, especially with Musk announcing he’d be putting more of his focus on TSLA in the months ahead.

(TSLA one-hour chart from yesterday’s open)

Speaking of divisive, have you ever seen one of those old cartoons where the character gets a literal devil on one shoulder, trying to encourage them to make bad decisions, and an angel on the other shoulder, trying to prevent mistakes?

I feel like that’s President Trump right now.

The devil on the one shoulder, that’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick (and advisor Peter Navarro).

They clearly believe that tariffs are a positive in and of themselves. And they love the trade war.

But on the other shoulder, there’s Scott Bessent, the Treasury Secretary.

(A real-life representation!)

Every time Scott Bessent steps up to a microphone right now, the markets seem to relax a little bit.

He’s the one talking about trade deals, talking about de-escalation with China, saying all the things investors want to hear to believe that these trade wars are short-lived.

The good news is, President Trump seems to be listening to Bessent more and more.

He’s also talked about de-escalating with China, and he’s even confessed that he doesn’t plan to fire Fed Chairman Jerome Powell.

That’s part of why the markets are breathing easy right now.

As always, it’s the uncertainty that markets fear. And right now, Bessent is trying his hardest to ease that uncertainty.

Hopefully it continues!

To your prosperity,
