If you feel like you've got an "extra" holiday this summer, then don't worry — you're not alone...
Markets are closed today in celebration of "Juneteenth," commemorating the day when America's last slaves became free men and women in the wake of our devastating Civil War.
This is only our fifth year observing Juneteenth, and it's the first U.S. federal holiday added to the calendar since Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 1983.
I’m thankful for the extra holiday this year, since it gives me that much more time to spend with family — especially my son Ari, who will be shipping off to West Point at the end of the Summer.
We’ll be back to our regularly schedule programming next week!
