| Hi 101 Traders
Wow… how does time fly so quickly? Christmas is less than two weeks away already. On a personal note, life feels beautifully full right now — I'm currently 7 months pregnant with my third, due in February, and although things feel wonderfully chaotic at times, life is good.
Turning to the markets…
As you may know, I'm currently working my way through a high-stakes funded program with the prop firm The 5%ers. I started this challenge around six weeks ago and, if I'm being completely honest, I expected to have passed the first stage by now. Twice I've reached 6% profit, only to give some of it back. Pregnancy hormones? Trading emotions? A little of both perhaps 😅
That said, my account is still green — just by a few percent — and I'm doing what we as traders must always do: stay in the game, learn, adapt, and keep going. There's no time limit here, only my own expectations, so I'm consciously working on relaxing into the process rather than forcing outcomes.
One positive shift I've made recently is integrating a new trading tool I created using Grok AI — an indicator designed to bring more clarity to higher timeframes and improve trade accuracy. More importantly, it has helped make trading feel calmer.
By stepping away from faster-paced swing trading and reducing unnecessary pressure, I've found trading to be more relaxed and enjoyable — and that matters. Even with a profitable strategy, any improvement that reduces stress and supports longevity as a trader is always welcome.
I share the full swing trading system, including a complete walkthrough of the strategy and indicator, in this video here!
If you'd like to try the indicator for yourself, you can download the Pine Script code for TradingView below. It's just £5 — simply to cover my time (and perhaps buy me a coffee ☕). 👉 Download the indicator here
As always, I wish you a wonderful Sunday and a green week ahead if you're trading. And if you're slowing down with the season, I hope you enjoy some well-earned rest and reflection.
Trade mindfully,
Emily x
