In trading, speed is often the enemy of profit.
Most retail traders lose money in the first 15 minutes of the day because they are trying to be fast. They see a green candle at 9:31 AM, they chase it, and they get crushed by the institutional reversal at 9:35 AM.
When we developed the Snap Trades system, we decided to hard-code a solution to this problem.
We call it "The Time Lock."
The Snap Trades algorithm is programmed to simply observe the market from 9:30 AM to 9:45 AM.
It calculates the "Snap Zone" which is a dynamic range based on institutional volume and volatility during that opening chaos.
Once the "Time Lock" expires at 9:45 AM, the system switches to Execution Mode.
If price breaks out of the zone with momentum and aligns with our "Trend Glow" filter, a signal is fired.
By filtering out the noise of the first 15 minutes, our backtests (Last 30 Days / 5m timeframe) showed:
