Hi there,
Nvidia (NVDA) is still front and center in the conversation—especially with premium-style option strategies being discussed.
When a stock has momentum behind it, it can quietly create pressure to act quickly.
But here is what I remind my students all the time:
Momentum doesn't replace discipline.
Structure does.
Before placing any trade—even on a strong name like NVDA—I still run it through the MERIT checklist:
- Method: Is the strategy right for this market phase?
- Entry: Is the signal confirmed—not rushed?
- Risk: Is the downside clearly defined?
- Implementation: Is the position size appropriate?
- Target: Do I know my exit plan ahead of time?
If a trade doesn't check every box, I don't take it.
Because consistency doesn't come from trading exciting names. It comes from repeating a structured process over and over again.
See the MERIT Trading Rules here
To your success,
Wendy Kirkland
