The "Growth Stock" Trap

Post a Comment

Hi there,

Every month, a new article comes out naming the "top growth stock" for the weeks ahead.

And every time it happens, I see the same reaction from traders:

"I need to get in before this thing really takes off."

Here is the problem.

A great growth story isn't a strategy. Structure is.

A headline doesn't tell you:

  • Which options strategy actually fits current volatility.
  • How far out in time you should be positioned.
  • Where risk needs to be defined before the trade.
  • Whether the move is already crowded.

That is why so many traders get chopped up trying to trade "lists" instead of trading a repeatable process.

This is exactly what I teach inside the Cooper Options Trading Institute (COTI).

I don't teach traders to chase headlines. I teach them how to take growth names—and trade them with structure, probability, and discipline.

You learn how to:

  • Match the strategy to market conditions.
  • Use confirmation instead of assumptions.
  • Control risk even in fast-moving stocks.
  • Avoid emotional entries driven by excitement.

Growth stocks can offer potential—but only when you know how to trade them properly.

Good ideas are everywhere. Structure is what turns them into trades.

See you inside,
Ian Cooper
