| 🥇🏒 Somebody queue up "Free Bird" because Team USA clinched their fifth consecutive para ice hockey gold yesterday, defeating Canada 6–2 behind a hat trick from Jack Wallace. That win gave the U.S. a historic sweep as the first country to win Olympic women's, Olympic men's, and para ice hockey gold in the same year. 🥇⛷️ Out on the mountain, skier Sydney Peterson won gold in yesterday's women's 20km cross-country race, her fourth medal in four Milano Cortina events. Simply dominant.
🥇⛷️ As for the men, skier Jake Adicoff won yesterday's 20km cross-country race for his fourth gold of the Games, completing a golden sweep of the skiing events. 🇺🇸 Biathlete Kendall Gretsch and skier Andrew Kurka served as Team USA flag bearers at yesterday's Closing Ceremony, becoming the first American duo to share the honors. 🏅 And in the end, the U.S. finished second in the total medal count, leaving Milano Cortina with 24 medals, including 13 golds. Until next time, stay shiny. |
