SPY and QQQ broke key support Monday, made new lows into the close, and the CBOE Volatility Index held above 30 — signaling real fear still in this market. However, markets gapped higher at the open today.   It was nice to see the beginnings of a relief rally this morning…but with oil still up over $100, this could turn into a whipsaw fast. Watch the breadth. If participation doesn't improve, this move may not hold.   Most importantly, don't let emotions take over. Stick to your rules.
