Valencia had participated in a fraternity's annual "Fight Night" event — a boxing match that raised money for a local youth boxing club.
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, student died of brain injuries days after the fight.
"We will be completing a full investigation to determine how UNLV and the Kappa Sigma Fraternity could allow and promote an event like this to take place," attorneys said. "College students should not be placed in a situations where they are pitted against each other for combat." You have to see this right now
Other News That Matters To You: Image Source: Instagram A 41-year-old man from Texas is suspected of killing his wife and then pretending she was shot by a home invader.
Christopher Collins apparently called the police after his wife contacted him and said an invader entered their home. However, it quickly became evident that Collins was lying. For instance, security footage from the gym showed him pacing for almost an hour before he phoned the police. He also had his wife's wallet, which he had claimed was missing.
The home also didn't look as though an intruder had been present.
"Officers who searched the home found a sheet of paper on the desk inside the residence," prosecutors said. "The paper was for life insurance for $250,000. The officer stated that the defendant and the complainant had signed the paper for life insurance on Nov. 16, 2021."
