Michael Burry Is Making a Bad Bet

"Big Short" investor Michael Burry is back in the headlines.

The man who became famous for his bets against the mortgage markets during the financial crisis...

Recently bet more than $1.6 billion that the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 will crash.

But before you consider selling any stocks, I urge you to watch my latest market briefing.

You see, Burry has made a string of bad bearish calls recently.

Most recently, Burry tweeted "sell" in January to his 1.4 million followers, a move we know would have been terrible advice today.

(I began telling my followers we'd entered a new bull market on January 17.)

So, what has Burry so worried today?

Well, Burry became famous betting against the banking industry.

And with the collapse of several regional banks like Silicon Valley Bank back in March, I'm sure Burry has been waiting for the perfect moment to make big bets against banks again.

With all the news over the past few weeks about rating agencies downgrading a swath of new banks over liquidity concerns, I'm sure Burry decided this was the perfect moment to place an irresistible big bet against the banks.

But I think if Burry knew what my Power Gauge was saying today, he might have given this trade a second thought.

So, before you consider following Burry into a "Big Short" frenzy...

I recently filmed a short update to my Bank Crisis Briefing, which I originally filmed back in March.

And I share what is the perfect strategy for today's stock market.

It's already produced gains like 76% in 4 months... 85% in 3 months... 75% in just 40 days... and a remarkable 113% in only 26 days.
