Don here... Brandon Chapman ran a live squeeze scan this morning using the Ghost Prints console. He started with 685 pre-screened option prints and narrowed it to four high short interest candidates in about three clicks. The market was bouncing on short covering. QUBT up 20%. PLUG up 4.4%. Brandon wanted to know if the option flow was backing the squeeze or if it was just noise. In today's Live Trading Room session replay, you'll see: - The LYFT earnings setup building at the $17 strike. 10,000 contracts bought in a single print at the ask. March 20 expiration. Earnings hit Tuesday after the close. Brandon flagged $17 as a gamma squeeze level and plans to evaluate Monday before executing.
- Why the IRON $46/$48 call spread prices at 75 cents with a 70% target. Volatility at the 65th percentile is pushing strikes further out of the money. But the spread is Vega positive while out of the money. If price pushes toward $48 and IV drops, you collect without needing max gain. Brandon set 80 cents as the absolute fill ceiling.
- How Brandon filtered for block trades with three or more squeeze bars. Volume to open interest ratio above 1.2 isolated the biggest institutional prints. Sorting by squeeze ranking revealed which names had real short interest backing the flow. Two of the four candidates turned out to be rolls. The console caught what Thinkorswim could not.
- Why the VIX ratio snapped back to 13 in one session. Skew dropped to 137 yesterday as hedges came off during the selling. Today it ripped back. Brandon walked through why the volatility structure still signals danger despite the bounce.
Brandon made something clear about today's buyers. The institutions stepping in are shorts covering. Not new money. The conditions for a deeper pullback are still intact. We have not even hit a 5% drawdown yet. The IRON trade and the LYFT earnings setup are the two worth watching.
